Below a safe recipe for children to use as playdough and create ornaments.
Salt Dough Recipe
1 cup salt
2 cups flour
3/4 cup water
Preheat oven on 165 degrees C./ 325 degrees F.
In a bowl mix salt and flour together. Gradually add water to make a pliable dough. If too stiff add a little more water.
Turn onto working surface an knead with your hands until smooth, about 5 minutes.
Make your creations and bake at 165 degrees C., for about 30 minutes. Cool.
You can add food coloring to the dough. You can air dry the dough.
After baking, the dough can be painted with acrylic paint, or glue and sparkling.
Don't forget to make a hole before baking if you want to pass a ribbon to hang the ornaments.
